Terms of Service

Terms of service

These terms describe the current HandoffLab launch version in plain language. They are written for the product that exists today, not for features that are still on the roadmap.

Last updated: March 15, 2026

HandoffLab is vendor-first workflow software for project handoffs, approvals, payment-confirmation records, and scope-change handling. It is not legal advice, escrow, banking software, accounting software, or a secure client portal.

Using the service

By using HandoffLab, you agree to use the product for lawful business workflow purposes and to provide accurate information when starting a session or contacting support.

You are responsible for the device and browser session you use. The current launch version stores workspace records locally in your browser, so clearing storage or changing devices can remove access to that local state unless you export a workspace data pack first.

Do not upload unlawful content, malware, credentials, or sensitive regulated information that depends on secure multi-user access controls HandoffLab does not yet provide.

Plans and billing posture

Free and paid plans are described on the pricing page. Paid checkout may route you to a hosted payment page operated by a payment provider.

Today, checkout handoff exists before verified subscription persistence, entitlement enforcement, or webhook billing proof. Buying a paid plan gives you access to the current product slice, not a guarantee that future roadmap items will arrive on any specific date.

Cancellation requests currently route through support because self-serve billing controls are not live yet. Email support@handofflab.com from the same address used for checkout or workspace access.

Availability and changes

HandoffLab is provided on an as-is and as-available basis for the current launch phase. Features may change as the product evolves toward secure auth, durable persistence, and stronger billing verification.

We may update plans, policies, or features prospectively. If a material policy change is made, the public policy pages on handofflab.com will be updated.

Limits of responsibility

HandoffLab is intended to help vendors organize workflow, but it does not guarantee payment collection, client performance, uninterrupted service, or legal compliance for your business.

To the extent allowed by law, HandoffLab is not liable for lost profits, indirect damages, or loss of local browser data that was not exported before device or storage changes.
